  1. The Academy considers 24 or more hours per week perfect attendance.
  2. If you attend school between 19 and 23 hours per week, the Academy considers you unexcused absent for one day.
  3. If you attend school between 14 and 18 hours per week, the Academy considers you unexcused absent for two days.
  4. If you attend school between 9 and 13 hours per week, the Academy considers you unexcused absent for three days.
  5. If you attend school between 4 and 8 hours per week, the Academy considers you unexcused absent for four days.
  6. If you attend school less than 4 hours per week, you are marked unexcused absent all week (5 days).
  7. If you attend school for less than 5 hours in a day, you are marked unexcused for that day unless, you have the full 24 hours at the end of the week.
  8. If you are absent because of illness or a family emergency you are given an unexcused absence. In order to change the unexcused absence to an excused absence you must do the following:
    • Step 1: You or your parent/guardian must call the school the day of the absence stating the reason for the absence.
    • Step 2: The day that you return from the absence, you must bring a note signed by your parent/guardian stating the reason for the absence and the date(s) of absence.
    • Step 3: If you are 18 years of age or older, you may write and sign your own notes.
