Odyssey of the Mind 2005-2006The Odyssey of the Mind program offers students the opportunity to use all of their creativity and problem solving skills to complete a project as a team. Our team competed in regional competition this year, building a structure and creating a dramatic skit in a cohesive team effort. The team overcame many struggles and setbacks and was constantly having to change and modify their ideas until right before the competition. We are proud of their perseverance. The Problem: Geometry Structure The team's problem is to design and build a structure of balsa wood and glue. The team will build geometric shapes into the structure’s design and attach colored paper to the shapes. The type and number of required shapes varies according to division. The team will test the structure for its ability to balance and support as much weight as possible. The team’s stage set will include some type of replica of the structure. The Team:
