Swim Team 2006-2007The 2006-2007 school year was the inaugural year of the SACA swim team. The swimmers that started this team began the difficult task of becoming competitive swimmers in a short time frame, September-December. Most of the students had not been competitive swimmers before so learning to swim was part of their initial task. The heart that these students had was evident at their first swim meet in December when all of them placed in each of their events. Their dedication and camaraderie was unsurpassed as they diligently came to practice and encouraged each other in the pool and in the classroom. The team practiced at the Downtown YMCA Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30pm-5pm. |
