Titan Missle Museum

Just a short drive from Tucson, one of the few remaining Titan Missile silos serves as a reminder of the Cold War and the Third World War that could have been.  Arizona History, American History, and World History students are all invited along since the bygone era of the Cold War affected everyone, everywhere.  Students get a tour of the outside grounds and the missile silo, as well as a brief classroom session with volunteers who explain the scientific workings.  This field trip is often done in conjunction with science classes.
