Southern Arizona Community Academy (SACA) is centrally located just one block north of Grant Road on Tucson Boulevard. For students who do not have transportation, SACA will provide Sun Tran bus passes to get to and from school.

SACA was chartered by the Arizona State Charter School Board in May 1999 as a public school.

The Academy is an alternative school whose mission and goals are to prepare mature students academically to achieve personal goals and meet the requirements of the Arizona State Board of Education as well as to become lifelong learners by providing an alternative setting that includes a one-on-one learning environment which fosters critical thinking skills, social responsibility, and ownership of success. 

SACA is an open enrollment school (registration information) which means that students may start any time during the year. Students are provided the opportunity to earn a high school diploma through an accelerated, career-focused program. SACA offers flexible hours for students who have other outside obligations or work schedules.
